This is the year I am going to make a comic book. That is the plan. Yesterday was my birthday.
So would it be weird if I just started sending messages to artists to probe them about their interest and availability? Then they might check out my page and see this journal entry. Would that be weird? I have to start somewhere.

Keep Creating that Art
Just wanted to do a quick journal update and say to everyone who might see it. Keep creating that art. Make it part of everyday. Even if it something small keep doing it. Today I managed to do a bit of writing. I have not been good about writing so far this year but today I started something I can really get done.
Most of my art creation this year has been around action figure customization and I will be sharing more of it soon. I have no idea what category that will go into but I will find something.
I was working on the same fantasy novel for almost two years. I recently heard a talk from a fantasy author talking about moving on from ideas
Mercury Is No Longer in Retrograde
You may have heard that Mercury was in retrograde for a while and now it is done. Or maybe you did not here about it at all because you don't follow astrology stuff. I only know about it because I saw it mentioned on a blog that I read. Anyway they claim its bad to start things during those periods because they will be doomed to failure or something. I did not start anything during those weeks. I mostly just kept working on stuff already in progress. I don't know if starting things after Mercury comes out of retrograde helps at all but here it goes.

C2E2 starts tomorrow
C2E2 begins tomorrow. I will have to get up early to get a good parking spot. I have my snacks ready. I actually made a list of things I am looking for and hopefully will find some good deals. I will talk to the people I usually talk to although I don't have much to show that is any different from the last time I talked to any of them. But keeping it up is the only way to get noticed. I may not have much to show but I have not given up.

C2E2 is next week
As the title says C2E2 is happening here in Chicagoland again next week. I have my three day pass. I suppose I should come up with some kind of plan for what I want to do. In the past I have tried to schedule some kind of in person meet up with other Chicago area nerds I know from the internet but none of them ever respond.
I should take a look at the C2E2 schedule. Maybe they have some Dungeons & Dragon events. I may pick up more D&D paraphernalia while I am there.
I know Dirk Manning will be at C2E2 again this year and I will talk to him again like always.
I know this year I am going to be on the look out for action figures like
